Breakthrough In Beauty Contest

There are so many BGs who aspire to become beauty entrepreneurs. In fact, I used to be one of them! A few years ago I along with a business partner started a beauty and skin-care line. I later decided that it really wasn't my passion so I left the business and focused on my true love - writing! Perhaps you or someone you know is looking to get a beauty company off the ground and are seeking business funding and distribution. If so, you need to visit Breakthrough in Beauty TODAY!!

This year they're looking for makeup lines, specifically foundations, or even mineral makeup. Who knows? You just might become the next Bobbi Brown (Girl)! Please hurry because the deadline is Sept. 1st, so go to www.breakthroughinbeauty.com to fill out the application.

In the meantime, click on the links to some of our favorite BG beauty entrepreneurs! Do you have a favorite?

  1. Oh my goodness, how sweet of you to pass on this great information. While I have no interest in starting a beauty business, I'm always thrilled to find new products that were designed specifically for BGs. So to all those BGs that are interested, go for it!

  4. Love Iman! I just started to research her products, and love her concept of embracing and meeting the skin-care needs of "skin of color."

And Kimora ... that's my homegirl.

  11. Although I never tried Carol's Daughter, I've heard great reviews about it, so Lisa Price would be my fave beauty entrepeneur (because she has cosmetic, body and hair care), Iman is a close second.
