Skincare for Brown Skin!

As you guys know, I enjoy trying new skincare products; but if there’s one brand that I recommend for us brown-skinned beauties, it has to be Rx for Brown Skin by Dr. Susan Taylor. This line of products ranging from toner to body lotion was especially formulated for Asian, Latin and African-American skin tones. Since we often suffer from hyper-pigmentation and other skin conditions, it is necessary to have products with ingredients that won’t irritate our skin or exacerbate the problem, but combat our unique skin afflictions.

Have you ever tried any of the Rx for Brown Skin products? If not, would you? One lucky winner will win the following products, valued at $75! Just leave a comment and a winner will be randomly selected.

Rx for Brown Skin Peel Kit available at www.sephora.com for $50

Skin Evening Body Citrus Body Lotion available at www.sephora.com for $25

**Sidenote, BGG extends condolences to my fellow Chicagoan, Jennifer Hudson and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. My hope is that her nephew returns to them soon.

Lord knows I need this so here's my comment...

Also, you read Brother, I'm Dying? I love this book. I don't know how many people I bought this for after I received it. Great read!

I definately will have to make my way over to Sephora this week! I've been looking for something new to try.

I've been looking for a new skincare system. I'm noticing somethings in my 30's and post-baby that I never noticed before.

Hope I win but if not I work near two sephoras :)

i did a post about this a few months ago when i was curious about it...it's not sold in the sephoras in canada so the last time i was south of the border i picked it up...

i bought the entire kit (cleanser, moisturizer, toner...) and maybe because i didn't use it consistently (i sometimes get lazy and didn't use the toner) but i didn't notice a huge change - and i really, really, wanted to. at first i thought the cleanser was too light for me (and not really getting my skin clean) but i'm still using the cleanser so go figure. actually the cleanser has grown on me but i do 2 washings back-to-back to feel like i got rid of the dirt (so i'm open to suggestions of other cleansers!). i didn't mind the moisturizer either - i guess i was just expecting more...i still have all the steps - maybe i'll give it another go 'round...

sorry for the long comment.

I love the RX line I use the gentle cleanser each day and it's wonderful for me.
I have yet to try that wonderful looking mask.
The Jennifer Hudson tragedy was so shocking. Hopefully the little boy will be returned safely.

First of all, my condolences and prayers to the Hudson family and friends of the family.

MonicaMingo.com did a Word on the Curb interview with Dr. Taylor. It was great! Not only did she talk about skin care but also hair care too! I'd really like to try this line after the great things I've heard.

I have such sensitive skin, I am a bit terrified of trying new products on my skin, however this line has intrigued me. I first read about it on another blog, and became interested. I hope to win the products this way I can try them before I buy them!

What a coincidence, I just started using the toner and moisturizer this weekend. I got them several months ago but hadn't cracked them open until now. So far so good!

Never heard of that product but I'd try it. I was saddened when I heard that news about Jennifer Hudson's family. May God's love be with them all.

I would use this. I'll try any beauty product once (or until the bottle runs out, LOL!)

I'm considering trying these products next. I was using MaMa lotion, and I think my skin has gotten used to it - I may need to start alternating between two regimes for the effectiveness to continue.

Jennifer Hudson and her family are in my prayers. I cannot and will not even begin to imagine.

Leaving a comment because it is winter and I am going grey...and not on my head.

Also shamelessly self-promoting. Come swing by Kismet's crib sometime.

First, my heart goes out to Jennifer Hudson & her family.

And I would love to try this out. I read about it a while ago, but they didnt carry it in the stores in St.Louis & I needed cleaner right then. So I keep buying Clinque. So PICK ME! I try it & give you a review of it. :)
