Jump Right In!

Get ready to see onesies in adult sizes this upcoming spring season. That’s right, the 70s & 80s fashion staple – the jumpsuit, is making a stylish comeback! The good news is that this time around the infamous line-backer-looking shoulder pads won’t be included.

Be on the lookout for jumpsuits in more refined silhouettes and flattering fabrics like cotton and jersey. Paired with sexy shoes and bold accessories could make this newly resurrected garment one of the chicest items in your closet.

Would you dare to wear a jumpsuit or are they just a bit too much of a trendy blast from the past for your taste?

  4. I so wish I could wear these but they aren't too forgiving. You can't be too thin or too volumptous for them. Top heavy or bottom heavy? Not sure if it will work. So I will admire them from a far. Happy Tuesday, BGG!

  5. BGG, would I wear one...I've been praying for the return of the catsuit. Yes, that's what we called them and I love them. Of course, you have to be careful when choosing one but if Weight Watchers works out, it's ON! In fact, this is motivation for me to stick to my 2 mile walk every day! I will be in a jump suit this spring!

  6. Did these in the 70s. Please tell me you're just kidding, and they aren't really coming back???

  7. Looks like I need to be visiting Express... I've ben looking for a pantsuit since last summer. They look almost as comfy as the maxi dress.

  8. I'm not sure if I'll be sporting one of these! Not a fan. It'll be my luck that I have to go the bathroom while out somewhere.

  9. You know, I would really have to see it on. I'm not working with much in the back and I don't know if it would hurt or help the situation. LOL!

My faves are the theory jumpsuit and the one from Forever 21, though.

  10. I'm not a fan, I don't think they'll be comfortable.

  12. I wore these in the 70's. The only thing I don't like about them is when it comes time to go to the ladies room. Everything has to come off. (lol)

  19. I would certainly rock a jumpsuit. I love the Ruched Wide Leg and the Signature Ponte Knit Belted jumpsuits. I could see myself looking too cute in those (plus they're afordable too)!

  22. The one from Bloomingdales is beautiful... but a bit on the pricey side. Also feeling the one from Forever 21... wish it had sleeves though.

I've always wondered (and this may be an ignorant question) but outside of a party or the club, where would one wear a jumpsuit?

    Great post BGG!

  23. I have to agree with some of the earlier responses they are cute but the gym must be your closest friend to really reap the benefit

  24. I love the look, I bought the Forever 21 one a few weeks ago and switched out the cheap looking belt and cheap belt loops on the side. Its actually great quality and not as cheap as the picture. Looking for more and the Speigel one is next on my list thanks :)

  25. @ Everyone - Not sure if I'd ever wear a jumpsuit. I guess it all depends on the fit. I'm like Miss Mika, where do you wear these??? LOL

  26. I could see wearing the one from Speigel w/a suit jacked to work. I could see the one from Newport News being worn to brunch or dinner, and maybe the one from Express on vacation or a walk by the lake.

The material is pretty unforgiving (even slim women will need to break out the spanx). However, I have seem some made of more flowy material that does not cling as much, yet was very pretty...kind of a 'resort look'.

  27. If I had the body type, I would totally wear a jumpsuit. Even one with cool pucci-esque, psychedelic print!!! I love blasts from the past but usually am not daring enough to try it out on myself... It's still fun to admire from afar though!

  29. While wearing a jumpsuit may seem like a "no no" at the moment, I bet by later this spring I have them in an array of colors.

  30. I purchased a 7FAM jumper a year ago. I love it! The only problem is that I lost weight and I can't fit it anymore. I'm trying to decide if I want mass alterations, or do I just want to give it away and find a suitable replacement
