Hey BGG
I don't think I will get into the bright pinks and reds, that is just not for me. However I am willing to try the Kissable couture color because based on their item that I already own the color is not so bold so that may work for me.
Thanks for this post.. I love lip glosses.

BGG, I thought Ashanti's gloss was nice on her. Bright colors are fine on young hipsters like you and her but for old foggies like me, we have to tone it down just a bit. I do insist on a hint of red or pink on my pout at all times though...just a hint. BTW, I just discovered how pretty pink is. I'll be looking into making some more pink purchases.

Bright colors are definitely in right now with regard to fashion so it makes since that it's in with make up as well. I mean if you're wearing one of those oh so cute and colorful sundresses you posted a while ago...you cannot be sporting brown lips. Bright gloss is a must have this season so yes I will definitely be sporting one on my precious pout this summer!

You know I want the MAC just because it's sold out online and I don't even go for the brights! I'm so silly. I do like them once in a while though for dressier nights.

I'm open to brights. The thing about me is I don't switch up my look to heavily during any one season. So I've been going back and forth from a light pink matte lipstick to a burgundy gloss. Both fabulous in their own right.

I think I could pull off the red, but I've just never had a desire too.

I am, however, really interested in the bright pink. I'm not trying to look like I'm stuck in the 80s though, so I think I may stop by a MAC store and see what they can help me come up with.

BGG, your posts keep me in the stores (I would have been there anyway, but now I have purpose).

I love bright colors and the nice weather is approaching. So I will definately try her products. I'm really not a lip stick person but I do love me some lip gloss.

Bright lipstick/lipgloss is not my thing. I like a more natural look on my lips. I think earth tone colors compliment our various shades of brown skin tones a lot better.

Don't know if I'll be jumping on the brights bandwagon anytime soon - reminds me of my high school days when I was prone to sporting purple eyeshadow, blue eyeliner and hot pink lips compliments of Wet 'n Wild.

Sugar lips! I can't wait to try some of your suggestions.

Bright colors are in but they won't be on my lips. I like neutral tones so when it wears off it's not as noticeable and i don't need to reapply lipstick or gloss all day!

Hey BGG, I'm not a fan of hot pink/red lip gloss too, but the cover girl tru shine lip gloss is something I might consider.

i think bold hues are best reserved for nails. i certainly would not do it often enough to warrant buying a whole tube of lip gloss. maybe if i got some sort of sample-sized lip color i liked, i'd be ok with it. it's just one of those things that isnt for everyone but it looks really nice on those who can pull it off.

i'd wear all of them. Why not? It's the summer right. Hugs, dE

I like those bold lip colors. I think I may go to Mac and look out for the Heatherette one. I'm tired of my light pinks and natural colors. I need something new for the Spring. Thanks for the inspiration BGG.

While we're at it....can we get on Ashanti's hair too? Ugh....but lemme stop. Black love, black love. I definitely don't like the colors she chooses even though I agree that Black women can wear pinks and reds beautifully. She just isn't using the right shades. Still been meaning to try that Kissable Couture.

Been there, done that on the brights. I was a fuchsia gloss girl in college. Now I pretty much stick with mauvy pinks and neutrals.

Okay, here's the question...what are your true opinions on Shimmer?

I'm torn - I sorta want to try a new look for spring, but a bit hesistant about going full throttle with the super bright shades. I like to mix glosses to get my desired colored, maybe this time I'll wear a slightly bolder lip for the spring/summer. Oh Eclectic, I like shimmer, what girl doesn't? :-)

I love bold colors but I can only wear them when I go out.
