Show Your Stripes!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a fan of striped clothing. No, I’m not talking about the behind-bars type, but the classic, nautical kind of course!

There’s just something that’s elegant, yet fresh and sporty about the symmetric pattern. Whether, thin, wide, vertical or horizontal, stripes can give tops, dresses, bikinis and even shoes instant style!

Do you like the striped look?

Check out some of these!

I like stripes but usually not on me. However, some of these items are so cute I just might have to try them out.

I like the idea behind the second item listed, the stripped dress.
I usually don't wear too many striped outfits but I need to get out of my standard solid colors so I may explore this look this summer.
thanks

BGG! I just recently discovered I love stripes! I was looking in my closet and discovered there are many striped items in there. I think I got it from my mom. Anyway, I love that shirt from Walmart and that bikini is just too adorable. I think stripes make me feel young and fresh.

I've always been a fan of stripes. But I try not to over-do it. These are things those of us who are well endowed in the chest area have to think about. Haaaa!

the striped shoes are really cute and original. black and white stripes make me think of Venice.

that ombre dress is very cute. ive been told that horizontal strips make you appear wider than you are and i dont need ANY help in that dept. however, that dress may be very flattering.

hey BGG!okay why is the walmart sweater top my fav?

AND........... you just reminded me. i was strolling through nordies back when i was shopping for my mac msf loose and came upon the lamb collection. i'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to shoes keeping the tag below $100 unless we are talking boots,... but these shoes right here!!! these are def shoes that i would pay $200+ for. they are incredible! this pair that you posted is no different! so if you see a post about lamb shoes, it's because you got me salivating all over again and i have plans to scrap the makeup spending LOL!

I've never been a fan of stripes, but I do like that stripe dress. For some reason stripes just don't do it for me.

I can't wait for the good weather. I have a cute stripe dress to wear but I was afraid that stripes were out of fashion. You made my day!!

I've never been able to pull off stripes. I'll occasionally do a striped top but the a dress, too much! They look nice on other people though, my hips are just too big to pull it off!

i like stripes...but i must becareful not to (over) do vertical stripes due to my height. i tend to stary away, but if i see some hot diagonals or verts, i'm all good!

So yea, definitely much more of a female thing! LOL

Darius - males can do stripes too! Especially in button-down shirts and ties...

I want that TB dress! Super hot!

Stripes are super classic but can sometimes make you look bigger than you are. Luckily BGG is super slim.

Stripes always remind me of Paris. Not mimes, but super chic femmes!

@ Everyone - Yes, some stripes can make you look bigger than you are, so be careful and choose wisely! LOL I actually have a super cute blue & white striped shirt that makes my waist look wide.

Thanks for the photo compliments. :-)
