Since Father's Day is right around the corner, it's time to surf the web and buy a gift or two for the most special guy in your life. Although showing love and respect for your father doesn't cost a thing, you can still make him smile with a great gift. Whether he's a gadget-guy, bonafide movie buff or knows his way around the grill, BGG gives you ideas for them all.
What makes your dad special? Please share!

Thank you!!! I always blank on men's gift ideas. My dad is truly special. He's in the "don't buy me anything" camp, but loves thoughtful gifts that he knows I didn't spend a lot of money on.
He's amazing -- he taught me to think for myself and to live unconventionally. He's also got the most hilarious, off-the-wall sense of humor ever. He can always make me laugh. Okay, now I'm tearing up...great topic, BGG!
LOL, i posted fathers day post too. Great mind thinks alike. Hugs, DE
I keep forgetting about Dad's Day... Thanx for the great gift ideas- I'm always drawing a blank when it comes to these kinda holidays!
I'm not a dad but I can sure use an I touch :-)

Great ideas for father's day. Well since my father passed away many moons ago, I would like to get the Mio c230 GPS in his memory.
It sounds reansonable to me and I would never get lost. HA!
those are some great gift ideas and if i wouldnt be spending his money to get him a gift, i would probably get my dad that grilling set.
guys can be so hard to buy for-BLEH! espcially if that guy is my hubby or dad...but i got it this year
BGG, those are all excellent choices which any man would be happy to receive. My father is deceased, so I am void of giving a FD gift. But speaking as a man I would be proud to receive any on of those thoughtful gifts.
Usually I've always gotten a dinner invite. Sometimes, a matching tie and socks.
good look for us, albeit i have never recived a fathers day gift before
BGG, those are really great gift ideas. My dad is not like most dads but special in his own way. When he says I love you..it sounds frightening...but he's still my dad. I'll get him his absolute favorite....rum and coke. As for the man in my life, he'll get something from the Harley Davidson store! I wonder if my kids will get me something since I've been forced into the daddy role!
I really do like all of these gifts that I selected. Too bad I don't have a dad to give them too. Plus, my husband and I don't have kids so Father's Day is a nonexistent holiday in my book, but I thought I'd share some gift ideas for you guys! :-)
@ Don - I'm sooooo happy to see you!! I miss Minus the Bars. It's great to see that you still visit BGG every once in a while. :-)
A dinner invite is always good and so are ties and socks - you always need them! :-)
I am a whore for Redenvelope.com!
LOL. I think I might purchase one of their dresser valets for my father.
Fossil watches are the best!
that watch and gps system are great idea.
oooh i just bought an itouch for myself and it is serously the coolest thing ever!
These are great ideas!
I'm so tired of getting my dad Raider's Gear or Western DVDs lol..
I need to be more creative I know..but I stick to what I know lol
I love the watch! I already sent my dad his gifts, but maybe I'll find that watch for his birthday.
My dad is an 85-year-old, WWll veteran. Though he was in his forties when his kids came along, he was and still is the most youthful dad ever! He runs. He lifts weights. And I fully expect him to come visit ME when I'm old and in a nursing home, then go play golf!
i'll take the blackberry curve for sprint...just in case anybody feels like giving a gift to the Father of the Year
@12Kyle- I want a Blackberry Curve too! My old Blackberry's scroll doesn't work all the time, so it's the perfect excuse to get a new one! :-)
THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! AND THANK YOU!!! I was thinking all day today what I was going to get my dad.
I'm always at a lost when shopping for my dad. This year I do believe i've come up with the perfect gift. I'll be giving a donation to his church in his name. That will definitely score me some points ;0)
