Shopper's Delight
When it comes to shopping, there are usually only a few stores I frequent. I am all about hunting for fabulous fashions that don’t cost a fortune. That’s why some of my favorite places to buy clothes are Daffy’s, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, Century 21 and Filene’s Basement. These chain discount stores are the best for finding designer bargains for less, especially during these uncertain economic times. I’ve found some of the cutest dresses, shoes and handbags that would ordinarily be out of my budget, but got them at affordable prices at these stores. It's funny because none of my friends or family enjoy going to any of these stores because they're usually disorganized with too much merchandise to sift through, but for me that's part of the thrill and allure. To me, visiting bargain basement stores are akin to going on a treasure hunt!
Oh and of course you guys know how much I love to shop online (Macys.com, Nordstrom.com and Shopstyle.com)!!
Where are your favorite places to get fabulous fashions?

i have to be in the mood for those stores but it is rewarding to find something. i got my last club dress for literally $5 from marshall's. i was SO happy.
i love TJ maxx and Marshall's and Ross and I have a goodwill store that I found a pair of patent leather Manolo's !!!(even though they are too small for me I couldn't leave them there.
I love to shop at Gap and Macy's! But i'm big on saving money, and finding great deals! Sometimes I shop at the outlet malls here in FL, when I have the extra time, the mall is about a hour away from where I live; but they have big names such as Coach, Ralph Lauren, and a few other designers I like. Blessings!
Loehman's is the best. I bought an $800.00 dress for $30.00 on Saturday. I love love love it!
You know, BGG...I've never been much of a shopper. But when I do go for work clothes or casual pieces I shop at JC Penny's, Macy's and Sears. My friends laugh at me allll the time but I've gotten some darling dress pants and blouses for up to 75% off at Sears. And we won't even get on their lingerie department. I wish I could do the TJ Maxx and Ross in my area but the racks are always a HOT mess.
Maurice Malone, Dillards, sometimes Martys, Gap, and any place that sells nice affordable shirts.
I love TJ Maxx and Marshall's Too. I am not big on shopping online mainly because whatever it is I am looking for eventually appears at TJ Marshall's (he he he) for half the price:)
I have been known to drop some money on a pretty dress at a boutique or two but my budget won't allow that so much anymore:(
Banana Republic is also a fave...but the clearance section:)
i love H&M, Loehman's, and all clearance racks, lol
I don't always have the patience to go to those stores..lol..I love Forever 21 though.
I pretty much shop at H&M, Forever 21, Nordstrom and Target when I can get to a Target. If I have free time I'll go to Nordstrom rack or Filene's basement. I'm usually so pressed for time, that I can't deal with the Marshalls and TJMaxxes.
You covered my favorites! Love the thrill of the search for a bargain treasure.
online - yep no tax
but its hard to get a nice suite in ross, tj max or marshall
BGG, I hate shopping but I love a bargain. So, periodically I stop in Marshalls or TJ Maxx and I'm never disappointed. I think I prefer online shopping. It's kind of risky with some stores but there's no line and no waiting so in my book it's worth it!
Hi BG. My DH loves those stores but I can't do them because of the disorganization. I find THE BEST buys at Lord and Taylor especially in Westchester where I love. They have the best sales and with the coupons I do just as good if not better than the discount stores. I'm a great bargain shopper.
My favorite is Loehmann's (another discounter)... Half of my wardrobe is from there!
Like you I love fashion that I can afford.
I have found that T.J. Maxx do have some good bargains.
The secret is that you need to know your style so that when you see the color or style you know what to get and sometimes you do need to think ahead of seasons.
GAP and Anthropologie
i still love h&m
I know some people who can find great things at these huge department stores but I am not one of them! I just don't have the patience to rummage through racks and racks of cloths.
Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Loheman's are my staples... Some good deals on the sales rack at Anthropologie, Gap and Banana... Also White House/Black Market and Arden B.
macy's is cool
I absolutely detest those crowdy, junky, disorganized stores! I think the last time I really actually went in those stores to shop was over ten years ago when I was in high school. I don't care how much the savings are; I have to be in the mood to go in those stores (which I never am).
Hmm...stores...well, I'm always e-shopping in Urban Outfitters, Topshop, Forever 21, Endless.com, and ASOS. For brick/mortar stores, I thrift and go wherever the day leads me. LOL.
I'm an online shopper, I get overwhelmed at TJ Maxx and Filene's but I still like looking around. Maybe if I devoted a little more time I could score those great deals.
TJ Maxx, Loehman's, JC Penny has stepped up a notch. I mix and match. I try to find a good pair of pants that I can wear with several tops throughout the seasons. This is to cut down on costs. My funds are dieting right now :)
Marshall's is my all-time favorite shopping haunt. However I will sashay my way into Daffy's or TJ Maxx anyday....
I like Kohl's. They have affordable cute stuff. Urban Outfitters and Hot Topic are a coupl other cool stores. But I grew up on PacSun. I used to shop at that store as often as I could, even if it was just window shopping.
I too love shopping online... Those are really best stores!! Last week, I got beautiful spring dress from Macys...
