Wanna Be a Makeup Pro?

Although I am a pro at applying most cosmetics, I am not a master at applying eye shadow or foundation. So when I received a copy of renowned makeup maven Bobbi Brown’s new book, “For Everyone from Beginner to Pro: Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual,” I was absolutely thrilled!

The book is packed with tips on everything from how to maintain healthy skin to applying false eyelashes. The best part is that it features a wide range of models with various skin-tones. This is definitely the perfect gift for all of your beloved beauty buffs!

Available in bookstores and at www.amazon.com on Dec. 1st for $32.

Plus, BGG is giving away 5 copies! Just leave a comment for the rest of the week and the winners will be selected randomly and announced next Monday, Dec. 1st.

Do you consider yourself a master at applying your own makeup?

I'm by no means a pro. Just good enough to get by. I'd never by able to put on lashes. I love Bobbi Brown!

Thanks for sharing! I've been looking for a book like this, as I'm no master.

Everyone's been talking about this book and I want it like...NOW! I need to run to Amazon.com. I am pretty good at applying make-up on myself but still struggle doing it on others. Especially when it comes to lining and mascaras. I can apply eyeshadow all day but liners, ohhhh nooo. And don't even get me started on foundations. I wouldn't even know where to begin. LOL! Have a happy Monday, BGG!

I am not a pro AT ALL, but I have Iman's make-up book and it's SO helpful. My roommate in college also had one from Kevin Aucoin and it was uber-fabulous!!!

I still need to figure out how to make my eyeshadow look creamy and smooth rather than gritty and textured. I'll be checking this one out.

P.S. I can't wait to see what you have coming up in the way of holiday gift guides. I'm sort of stuck this year since I'm gifting on the tightest budget EVER.

I definitely need this book! I just might need to be applying those fake lashes, I accidentally cut some of my eyelashes off in a freak accident with an eyelash curler. Aside from blush and powder everything else about the makeup process is a mystery.

Thanks for sharing info about this book! I am not a master at all when it comes to applying makeup, except for lipgloss... I was so excited when I purchased a few CG due eyeshadows, because on the packaging it showed me how to apply it! I read your blog and several others on a daily basis, to get tips and tricks to help me enhance my look, from young and flashy to mature and glamorous!

A Master?...that would be a NO

I know hot to apply lip gloss all day everyday. I bought some of that long lasting lip wear for my wedding, and haven't seen it since then. I have some eye shadow that has a chart on the back...but it still confuses me. I haven't used foundation since I was 15 and wanted to cover a hickey...LOL

I am a big Bobbi Brown fan. I watch her QVC appearances to study her techniques. I wish I was more adept at applying eye shadow and Bobbi's gel eyeliner.

Heavily anticipated book on the makeup scence. Definitely not a pro but I think I do a good enough job to get noticed. My mom likes me to do her makeup when she goes out, but Bobbi can most def help in applying makeup oh so naturally.

Happy Monday

I would love to have this book to get some more makeup tips. I'm self-taught and although i've come a long way in my makeup application skills...I could always use extra help. Thx!

I'm working on becoming an eyeshadow pro. I've mastered the smokey eye and I'm now on blending. :-)

I have the Iman book and the Sephora book and both have been helpful, though I use the Iman one more.

I am not a pro, and could definitely use this book to learn more tips and techniques. I adore Bobbi Brown's lipglosses - nice and natural-looking.

I wanted to get this for my sister for Christmas but now I want it for myself. (She's a MUA who constantly critiques my make-up - not in a good way) :/

I'd love to get my hands on this book! I'm definitely not a pro, except when it comes to lipgloss maybe. I want so badly to learn how to apply fake eyelashes. I need this book!

I am by no means a master at applying make up, but I do pretty well. I always make my eyes look nice and natural, but sometimes I would like to know how to glam them up. I guess I'll try this book. The last make up book I bought was Iman's in 05.

I was flipping through this book while waiting in like at the bookstore, I saw the price and figured I could manage without it. The next day I was in front of the mirror trying to remember all of the tips I possibly could. It has beautiful photos and a really cool ethnic section.
