Baby BGG On Board!

Some of you already know, but for those who don't, my husband and I are expecting our first child (a baby girl) this January! I've been sick quite a bit, which has resulted in inconsistent posts. Now that I'm beginning to feel better, I wanted to share this extremely exciting time in my life with my valued readers. Plus, I'd also love to share some beauty products that I'm currently trying that are actually beneficial to non-preggers BGs.

Me last weekend at 5 1/2 months.

In fact, I'm currently taking the advice of many and keeping my skin moisturized with Carol's Daughter's Sexy Belly in an effort to prevent those unsightly stretch marks that 75% of women get during pregnancy. So far so good, but I still have a few more months to go! Even if this popular cocoa and shea butter-enriched product doesn't completely prevent the ugly squiggly lines, it sure makes my skin super supple and smooth in the process, which is something that every woman wants - soft skin!

Sexy Belly available at www.carolsdaughter.com for $17

Have you ever tried this product? For fellow moms-to-be and moms, do you have any stretch mark prevention suggestions?

Congrats!! I hope u don't get the tiger stripes, I got mine the last two weeks of my pregnancy!! LOL!! That really sucked... doe that products do anything for existing stretch marks?...

Congratulations - so excited for you!

I didn't do anything specifically to avoid stretch marks, but I did keep my belly cocoa buttered up in the last few months when my skin was particularly itchy. Don't know if it was the cocoa butter or genetics, but I do not have any pregnancy related stretch marks :)

OMG! I'm so happy and excited for our new little BG!! Yyyaaaay! You look fabulous too! I hope the Carol's Daughter works for you. Usually stretch marks don't arrive until late in the pregnancy so keep that belly lubed up and keep your fingers crossed. Stretch marks or not, it won't matter when you see your little one staring at you with your hubby's face! Celebrate good times come on!

Congrats again!!! I'm so glad you're feeling better.

This sexy belly business looks like a product I'm going to have to add to my to-try list.

Tips (from my mom and sis): Rubbing oil and shea butter on your tummy and never, ever, under ANY circumstances scratch. EVER.

Can't wait to see all the baby BG (or BB) stuff.

congrats! stretch marks took over my belly. I have not been the same since, but I have beautiful kids and a husband that loves me and my marks..even KISSES them...I dont think anything stops them though. I know people that used all kinds of creams and they still got them bad!!! One friend never got them and then ended up getting them on her third child...good luck,

Thank you all for your lovely comments! All of your well-wishes mean so much. I'm hoping that genetics play a role in the dept of stretch marks (my mom didn't get any after 3 kids), but u never know. Even if I do get them, it will be all worth it!! I can't wait to meet my baby girl in January! Thanks again for your compliments. Oh and for Aleksa, I got that top at Daffy's (like a TJ Maxx, Marshall's) in NY for only $8! I love it!;-)

Oops I meant Aleksis! Sorry.

congratulations! my husband and i are expecting our second child in january. i used 100% african shea butter on my belly and other expanding parts and was blessed to not have one stretch mark! the only tip besides moisturize like crazy i can offer is don't scratch!! your stretching skin will itch sometimes even with the moisturizer(s), but don't scratch. that's what induces more stretch-marks.

many blessings to you and your family!

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
