A Fragrance Fit for a Queen!

Queen Latifah is one of the few entertainers who seems to have that coveted Midas Touch. From being a Covergirl to an Oscar-nominated actress, Queen has all the bases covered.

Her new fragrance, Queen by Queen Latifahproves that everything she touches does turn into gold. This magnificent scent is perfect for the new fall season. A blend of tantalizing aromas consisting of Baie Rose, Jasmine Noir, Cognac and a bit of Moroccan Coriander spice, this intoxicating fragrance will leave you feeling and smelling like royalty.

Queen by Queen Latifah available at www.macys.com for $59 (3.4 oz) or $49 (1.7 oz)

Have you tried this new fragrance? Two lucky readers will have the chance to take a whiff of this prettily-packaged perfume (the 3.4 oz bottle a value of $59). Just leave a comment telling me what's your favorite Queen Latifah movie, song, makeup, etc. and the winners will be selected randomly and announced on Tuesday, Sept. 8th. Good luck!

Queen Latifah is the bomb! (I not so secretly want to just shave her hair off her head and put it on mine.) Set It Off is my favorite Queen Latifah movie, and Secret Lives of Bees is not too far behind. And I loved her in Living Single! And I will always remember her hats back in the day!

Ohhh, she's coming out with a fragrance? Amaziiing! I've always loved Queen. Especially in Living Single. I am part-journalist too and always wanted my own magazine. I'll settle for a blog though. :) And I don't know if many people know this but her "The Dana Owens" album is amaziiiing. She has a beautiful jazz lounge voice.

Favorite song? "Just Another Day" off the Black Reign....tape.

Favorite movie? A tie between Set it Off and Secret Life of Bees.

Living Single is still one of my favorite shows - I watch it in reruns more often than I should confess.

I have tried and LUV this scent. It's on my birthday spree list (Libra girl). I can't wait! :-)

FYI - It's already at Macy's - ask for a sample. Also, if it's at Sephora, you can request that they make you a sample of any fragrance. That way, you can test the fragrance multiple times on your skin before your purchase!

U.N.I.T.Y was my favorite song by queen. I loved her in Set It Off, The Last Holiday,Bringing Down the House, and Hair Spray.
Back in the day, she played in "Living Single" which was funny.
She always represents for the FULL, THICK CHICKS!!

I love "Living Single"-it was the first "Friends" and first "Sex and the City"--we don't get credit for anything! LOL! But she was hilarious on that show!

Hands down, Queen's best performance was in Set It Off! Her performance was stellar! I completely disconnected her from the Cover Girl image in that flick, that's for sure. She holds her own on the stage when rapping or singing or acting and she is very beautiful...You're right, she's got IT!

The Living Single marathons on Oxygen channel can get me through a day just fine since I work from home. But I loved her in Hairspray, Set it Off, The Cookout, Bringing Down the House, Last Holiday & Chicago because they were so out of character for her and she did a beautiful job. I also loved her in Brown Sugar because you got to see the essence and love she has for hip hop (you can tell it's her 1st love) and not to mention, Juice & House Party 2.

Remember her show the Queen Latifah Show...that shows my age doesn't it? *haha*

I also loved her music...1st woman in hip hop to make me feel that being a black woman was to be respected and was the ish!!!!

Oh and I just saw/heard her as the voice of the pregnant Mammoth in Ice Age The Meltdown...when your hear her voice whether it's in movies or commercials, it's unmistakable that it's her. Love her.

Not to mention that I always idolized her because my older sister looks just like her. I saw her at an Expo @ McCormick Place in Chicago years ago and she is just as beautiful and laid back in person as she is portrayed in the media.

I'm a HUGGGEEEE fan of Queen Latifah. Nevermind the fact that my real name is Khadijah (Living Single used to be my favorite show back in the day) and my mom's real name is Queen. Yes--both instances are coincidental.
My favorite Queen Latifah songs are and will always be "Ladies First and UNITY." I miss the days of REAL female rapper empowerment...why are we nowadays reduced to sexual objects--and we're the ones doing this to ourselves. Get it together "LAdies"..and I use that term loosely.
My favorite movie with Queen Latifah in it is "House Party 2." She played the strong-headed Zora...I used to pray I had a roommate like her when I went to college (never happened though). I also love Queen's self acceptance and pride of herself and everything that she does. She's beautiful, talented and never let her size matter....which meant a lot to a chubby youngster like myself..All Hail the Queen...including my mom!!

I not only love Queen Latifah but respect her because she has paved the way for so many others. She is an example of someone who cares about herself. You almost never see anything negative about her in the tabloids. she carries herself with grace and class. I absolutely love that she designed her makeup, the Covergirl Queen Collection, because in the market these days it is hard to find items that are directly marketed to women of color. Even with that said, I have a hard time finding her makeup. I have been to Sephora, Ulta and various other stores, Target, Walmart, etc and they sell plenty of covergirl, just not her line. The Queen is a triple threat, actor, signer, model. I have so much respect for her for carrying herself like a "queen".
