When it comes to the best eyeliner, I thought that I had found my tried and true - Revlon Colorstay. That was until my friends AZ and Z came to visit last week and introduced me to Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliner. Indian women have mastered the technique and beauty of eyeliner application so I was definitely taking notes from my fellow brown girls. This little pot of black goo surprisingly goes on easily and smoothly with a fine-tipped brush creating a sexy, Cleopatra-esque look.
Me wearing the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in black.
Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner available at www.bergdorfgoodman.com for $21 (application brush sold separately for $17)
I'm not sure if I'd wear it everyday, but for nights out on the town, I'd definitely give it a whirl. So maybe Revlon Colorstay is still my tried and true for everyday use, while the gel one will be used to rim my peepers for special occasions.
Have you ever tried this product? If not, would you be willing to try it?

Look at your sexy eyes. I really want to try this now.
I'd like to try this I would just have to find the "perfect" brush!
eyeliner should be for everyday in my opinion! LOL! Very nice and all three of you are too cute. And yes, Indian girls know how to work it OUT when it comes to the eyes.
Oh baby it's on and poppin! I must have this stuff TOOODAY! I have always looked at Indian girls and wondered what they were doing to get that dramatic yet sophisticated sexy as hell look. Their secret is out! HOLLA! Thanks, BGG!
Beautiful! I work with Boobi Brown and your application is just what we teach our customers. Great job!
I really hate your perfect cheekbones!! lol, You look stunning!I must try.
How gorgeous do you look? Just stunning. I love tightlining and the cat eye-look. Loooov eeyeliner. And I love BB but can never really indulge in her products b/c they kinda break my wallet. :(
You are gorgeous! Fantastic cheekbones to boot! I love eyeliner. I don't go out without it. Bobbi Brown eye gel is fantastic! I've always admired Indian women's beautifuly lined eyes. I used to try kohl when I was a teenager and never got the same results. Much easier now to do the look.
WOW Thanks so much BGG. I am shooting off my email to you now.
The gel liner looks interesting. I have seen this type of product before but I was skeptical..thanks for the review, now I know it works.
PJD
P.S. you look great!
Wow! you look very chic and your eyes look fantastic.
I must give it a try.
I definitely want to try this!
i have this and the gel liner brush...i admit, it does go on super smooth...i'm just a liquid applicator girl though
I love the props to Indian girls! :) For the record - eyeliner is a cultural thing for us, with khol being a staple in our look! I think we may have a stronger (and longer) hold on it than the Egyptians! :)
I'm so happy that you loved this product! One pot will also last forever... and I have tried other gel pots and this one has been the best thus far (Stila dried out too quickly and MAC's fluidline was not black enough and felt watery)...
The brush is amazing too and makes applciation so much easier.
And don't forget to pile on the mascara ladies, it is so integral in the "kholed out Indian girl look" that we are all trying to attain! And also don't forget to wing out the corners!
This fluid pot is also very popular on the runway from my past research too...
XOXO
AZ - as referenced in this post!
You look fantastic! I have been working hard to switch all my beauty products to natural/organic/minerals, but looks like I might have to reconsider on this one.
you look great! you could SOOOOOO wear shadow. i want you to know and believe that.
congrats to PJD!
Cute, cute! I've recently started wearing eyeliner, but I don't think I'm doing it quite right. I've got "big" eyelids and it just looks like I've drawn a line on my eye. Guess I'll keep practicing - with my less expensive stash of pencils and liquid before I give the BB a try.
Thanks for the goody! I emailed you . . .
nice eyes
i just wanted to say that i really love your necklace!! (the makeup is nice too)
hmmm, but what mascara were you wearing? It's too pretty!
wow...i want to get some of that!
As an Indian girl I have to concur--fantastic product. Also, have to ask: Who makes that necklace you are wearing in the photo, I am deeply coveting it!
Thanks everyone for all of the lovely comments!! You guys are so sweet.
To answer a few questions, I'm wearing Maybelline Great Lash mascara and the necklace is from Express! :-)
YES! I love this! I've been using this pot forever! And I will never ever go back to anything else! And girls if you want a cheap fix, go to any art supply store and buy a small slanted paint brush. A tiny one It's a lot cheaper than the one Bobbi Brown sells. And it works even better!
-Fellow Indian girl
Your eyes look really sexy. I have been using this product for a while and simply love it. I agree with you about when to wear it, I prefer to wear it when i'm going out on the town for a more dramatic look :)
Yes, I have tried it and it is fabulous! The great thing about the gel eyeliner is that it is rich in colour and stays put! I find that with a lot of pencil and some liquid liners, they tend to smudge mid-afternoon, but this one keeps its shape and you can apply it with precision! It also comes in many wonderful colours.
very pretty!! i mostly use kohl liners to get this look, but i do have a gel liners and i've got to try it your way now!
I think the Bobbi Brown eyeliner looks so hot and exotic on you, and makes those cheekbones pop ever MORE if that is even possible. Also, thanks for the hollah :) Love you BGGGGG!! From Z aka Jeanie :)
I just found your blog and I want to say I think you are gorgeous and I LOVE what you are wearing here! :)
