For all of you curly-haired BGs, if you haven't tried Kinky Curly products, your tresses are missing out on a sensational treat! Now that I haven't had my hair chemically relaxed in well over a year, I've been trying products that are better suited for natural hair. Kinky Curly was on top of my list of products to try because I've always heard such great things about them.
Their Midnight Miracle overnight treatment was like a magic concoction infused with castor bean extract, silk protein and meadowfoam oil seed that left my usually tangled, dry strands easy to comb and softer than ever before! Plus, it had a very pleasant scent that didn't bother my sensitive nose (remember pregnant women's senses become superhuman). :-)
Midnight Miracle available at www.kinky-curly.com for $22

BGG, I recently tried Kinky Kurly for the first time. I too am transitioning from relaxed hair to natural and was searching for products that would help me manage my coils! I tried the Come Clean shampoo and the Knot Today leave in conditioner and baby I can't say enough about it! The shampoo cleansed my hair like never before but it didn't make my hair feel stripped. The conditioner made my kinks disappear. My hair was soft and tangle free and easy to manage. Everyone should have this stuff! It's that good!
Hey BGG
I have not tried midnight magic and now I totally want it lol so I have to pick some up.
Thanks
PJD
Well alright for the naturalness, BGG. Rock on! My kinks are a little TOO kinky for Kinky Curly products. I head to the kitchen to make a lot of my products. Olive oil is a staple! And Dr. Bronner's magic soaps are loooove. Good luck on your journey, K-Bear!
I've never tried Kinky Curly but it's on my very long diva on a budget, but I need to try list.
Favorite products are:
- Burts Bees Raspberry & Brazil Nut Shampoo & Conditioner $7.99
- Fantasia IC Gel (for the wash n go) $4.99
- Ojon Deep Conditioning Treatment ($44.99)
- Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercreme $58 (Good for puffs)
- Olive oil (like the kind you cook with) $7-10
- Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner $12.99
- Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Deep Conditioning Treatment (as a detangler) $4.99
- And last, but not least Trader Joe's Nourish Spa Conditioner (as a detangler) $2.99
(Ok, sorry for the long post. I should have done a blog post to respond to your post.)
I'll pass around the information. Since I can't use this product.
I have not tried this particular product... but I absolutely love the Kinky Curly Curling Custard and the "Knot Today" leave in conditioner. At first I was a bit skeptical about it because of the price... but considering how little I have to use and how well it works, it has certainly been worth the investment.
As a natural, I have also grown to love unrefined coconut oil and unrefined shea butter. These two products combined give my hair moisture and a sheen that lasts all day. Love them!!
I definitely have to give this a try. I'm always on the lookout for good products for my curly hair, I'm all about keeping it natural so I hope this works.
@T - Thanks for your detailed comment. I really do appreciate it! :-)
BGG

I enjoyed following the whole entry, I always thought one of the main things to count when you write a blog is learning how to complement the ideas with images, that's exploiting at the maximum the possibilities of a ciber-space! Good work on this entry!
It is indeed a nice product, my mother used a couple of times and it worked perfect.
