Double-Duty Concealers!

Just when it seems like I get rid of one pesky pimple, another one emerges. That's why concealers are a must-have in my makeup bag. Covering unsightly blemishes and old pimple scars is a task that I wish I didn't have, but unfortunately like many women, I am a victim of occasional breakouts.

That's why I'm so glad that I came across Zap&Hide by jane iredale - THE SKIN CARE MAKEUP, a double-ended blemish treatment stick that conceals while it heals the zit. This nifty contraption contains tea tree leaf oil and lavender, which are both anti-inflammatory agents. You get the best both of worlds - coverage and healing. What's not to love?

Have you ever used medicated concealers? One lucky reader will win the Zap&Hide by jane iredale - THE SKIN CARE MAKEUP concealer (a $25 value). Just leave a comment and a winner will be selected randomly and announced tomorrow.

Check these out:

I've never really used concealers but I would love to give them a try. I'm not the best at applying make-up.

OMG! If they didnt make concealers I would be done. No day starts without covering up - it's unfortunate but a girls' gotta do, what a girls' gotta do.

This would be awesome! I use Mac concealer everyday, and you're right...as soon as you get rid of one, here comes another.

Ohh this is great. I usually just mix my acne cream with the concealer in some spots. But that's time consuming.

Wow, I never heard of this before. I used concealers before but I think this is great.

Thanks for the rec!!!! I will have to look into the Zap & Hide concealer. It sounds promising but I hope the consistency is thick/rich enough for me. I like to use the MAC concealer pot because it's so concentrated. But I'm forced to reserve it for special events since I feel that it doesn't help the pimple, just worsens it!

So, last night I applied a tiny dab of turmeric powder along with my moisturizer, directly onto a zit. And this morning it seems much smaller and feels less irritated. If anyone plans to try to this, be VERY careful because the turmeric could stain literally anything and everything within reach.

That's a great idea, but I'm a little wary of stick concealers since highly-pigmented, liquid formulations tend to give me the best control.

i have never used a medicated concealer but i'm definitely going to look into it now. i typically use MAC concealer but I've noticed that it's so oily and wipes off very easily.

Thanks for the info!

I don't know how I missed this post earlier... busy day I guess.

This double-duty concealer business is genius... adding one of these to my shopping list. :)

I too normally use the MAC pot concealers but as soon as I put foundation on-the concealer is off...lol..Guess I need to apply it better. But this sounds like a great make-up tool for my breakout days.

I always use concealer but for my dark circles. Still looking for the best one though, nothing really does the job and I'm left walking out of the house with raccoon eyes ;o(

I just heard this treatment stick concealer with double-duty. It covers acne scar at the same time it heals zits. Wow! I want to purchase one to try its dual effect.
