Unfortunately, the entertainment community has lost comedian, Bernie Mac today, he was 50. He died from complications related to pneumonia in a Chicago hospital this morning according to his rep, Danica Smith.

My fellow Chicagoan will be truly missed!

I was stunned at the Bernie Mac news, he was so young and had so much left to live. Isaac was an amazing artist and legend. We've lost two giants in the industry. They will be truly missed.

I'm just sick about Bernie leaving us so soon. BUT...he loved, he laughed and he lived. What more is there...nothing! God bless those closest to him as they struggle through this difficult time!

So sad! Bernie Mac has this excellent interview that he did with Tavis Smiley. It should be on YouTube or PBS.org. He said some really inspirational and insightful stuff.
