Stylish Shows for the Fall Season

Besides the fashions that only fall can bring, new TV lineups are the second best thing that happens during this time of year. Although I haven’t been watching much TV lately, this past weekend I found myself glued to the tube watching all of last season’s Gossip Girl as if I were an Upper East Side rich teenage girl with a Sidekick in hand! There’s something about that show that is simply addictive. Perhaps, it’s the fashion and constant pop culture references. Whatever it is that makes it a must-see show, I am now hooked and can’t wait until next week when it returns for a second season.

Although I wish there were more shows that featured BGs and guys in the lineup, I am looking forward to watching Tyra’s antics on her popular reality series, America’s Next Top Model; Vivica Fox's new style competition show, Glam God; fashion journalism reality show Stylista; The Game; as well as the new season of Making the Band, which started last week.

Speaking of TV, wasn't Michelle Obama's speech last night at the DNC outstanding?!

Anyway, what are you planning on watching this upcoming fall TV season?

Gossip Girl on The CW

America's Next Top Model Cycle 11 on The CW

Glam God with Vivica A. Fox on VH1

Stylista on The CW

Making the Band Season 4 on MTV

The Game on The CW

I don't watch a lot of tv. However, when I do get a chance to turn on the tube I find myself watching MSNBC,CNN and HDTV. I'm big on business and I like to know what's going on in the world around me; I also enjoy looking at different homes and new design ideas! BGG I also agree with you, we NEED more brown faces on tv! Blessings!

I agre with soul. I really don't watch a lot of tv anymore. I remember when I was young, the shows were so much better. things have changed big time.

I don't really watch newer sshows on TV. My DVR stays on Martin, Living Single and A Different World. But I love love love Run's House. We definitely need more POSITIVE brown people on TV. I'm off to your hometown, BGG. Have a beautiful Tuesday!

Husband has ESPN on all televisions at all times. I shut up about sports 24/7, he shuts up in Sephora and Nordies.

i wish more of my favorite shows featured BGs. i like the hills, the office, and 30 rock. i pretty much watch those weekly and just catch random shows in-between. i'll probably check out some of the ones you listed.

I agree w/ Soul too, I never seem to have time to sit down and actually WATCH TV.. I might have it on while I'm blogging, but I usually have music playing. I can't even keep up- I don't even know what shows are on anymore!! I'll have something on my DVR for months before I get to watch it.

I hardly ever turn on the TV anymore, but after hearing everyone talk about Gossip Girl, I watched the entire season online a few weeks ago. Now, I'm hooked. I will definitely be in front of the TV on September 1st.

I'll have to check out Stylista too. An editorial position at Elle and a clothing allowance? That's my dream!

Isn't DVR the best invention in YEARS!!!!??

I don't know what I'd do without it. I actually have Oprah episodes on there from 2006 that I still haven't watched! LOL

Plus, I've saved my favorite, "A Different World," episodes on it so I can watch them whenever I want. The only problem is that I'm always running out of space!

@B - Love your new pic! :-)

BGG, There is nothing in particular that I look forward to watching, however, I always end up hooked to something no matter how ridiculous it might be! I hope your shows are all you want them to be. I did see Michelle last night and I was totally impressed and completely proud to be a BG! When she was done and just let out a long and satisfying sigh!

There isn't really anything that I look forward to watching this fall. There's nothing that comes after The Wire and Soul Food TV series have ended. LOL.

Wow, so many shows so little time. Still one consolation about summer coming to an end is welcoming all the fantastic new shows to the fold.

The cable guys will be here mid-September right before the start of the regular NFL season. That's the only TV I must watch. I'll probably get hooked on ANTM too, but if Tyra gets to screaming at people, Iaintgunbeabultadoit!

I like the outfits of Chloe Sullivan and Lois Lane on Smallville. And One Tree Hill has some nice clothes too, especially Peyton and Brooke.
