Light-Weight Jackets for Spring

The weather during the spring months can be a bit tricky. This time of year it's too warm for our winter coats, but still too cool to brave the air without some type of outerwear.

That's why light-weight jackets are ideal for spring and are a great alternative to the classic trench. They come in a wide variety of styles and materials. From leather to linen, there's always a spring jacket that's just right for you!

Check out some of these:

Italian Poplin Rain Coat available at www.jcrew.com for $158

High Collar Pea Coat available at www.babyphat.com for $89

Pin-Stripe Cotton Jacket available at www.forever21.com for $32.80

Summer Light-weight Chino Mendocino Jacket available at www.jcrew.com for $98

Leather Safari Jacket available at www.ardenb.com for $198

Denim Swing Jacket available at www.macys.com for $42

Pintuck Bomber Jacket available at www.ardenb.com for $128

Vince Funnel Neck Jacket available at www.shopbop.com for $295

I really like the leather jacket and the tan one which is second on your list.
BGG I have been tagged by a fabulous reporter so I am passing the joy on to you.

I'm not really a big fan of J. Crew, but both of those jackets are darling.

As usual, BGG, you keep bringing the fab to my mornings.

Unfortunately, it won't be spring in Chicago until June, so I have plenty of time to shop for a jacket. :P

BGG great finds. I love the light-weight Chino Mendocino and of course, Vince Funnel but I can't afford it.

BGG, these are so cute and so necessary. Here in H-town it may start out cool in the very early morning and heat up 30 degrees or more by lunch time. Any one of these little numbers would work just fine. I particularly like the denim one and I love any kind of a swing coat! Thanks!

Lovely BG. I'm looking for a new perfect trench for my long arms right now. And suggestions?

@Kwana - I just added the link to my post I did a few months ago on trenches. Maybe you'll like some of those picks! :-)

I love them all (I selected them! LOL), but if I had to chose just one, it would have to be the pink one! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!

I love the pink one as well. A jacket is great because it is easy you can put it over a simple white tee and you look great!
