Usually, when it comes to describing sexy shoes, elastic doesn't come to mind. When I think of elastic in fashion I tend to immediately envision hideous shoes and clothes. However, I've been noticing an increase in elastic-styles that are quite fashion-forward. Since I have yet to take a step on the stretchy side, I'm assuming that they're more comfortable than the typical leather, suede, etc. materials that tend to dig into your skin after long-wear. Could comfort finally be in vogue?
Would you wear elastic-strappy shoes?

I still have reservations about the stretchy shoes. The only ones that looked halfway decent to me were the red Guess shoes (might be because I am partial to Guess). The other ones weren't that appealing to me. Great post though BGG!!!
i was thinking about getting some..dont know..havent found the right pair i guess.
I recently purchased 2 pair of stretchy shoes. Both of them are quite sexy I might add. They are also extremely comfortable.
I'd wear them if they were comfortable and I could walk in them. Too high and I can't.

I'm actually not a huge fan, but there were a couple of style that you posted which I liked. Unfortunately all but one were $500 or more :-)
@ThummyB - I know right!! All of the ones that I think are cute are wayyyyyy out of my price range. I'd never spend that much on shoes, but they are nice to like at. lol!
I actually love this trend. I don't own any shoes with elastic, but I would buy them if I wasn't on a serious savings plan right now.
I love shoes like these, i have a narrow foot and cant stand to have "space" i luv a nice snug fit.
Oh hell yes! I love them all...well all except that flat sandal but the others are fab! Can you loan me about $600??
BTW, I have a peep toe issue. BGG, you got me all into peep toes but for some reason none of my fabulous new shoes will stay on my feet! What the hell is that about? Is there some special peep toe walking secret I don't know about? Do tell!!
You know the stretchy shoes look kind of grandmaish and cheap. On the other hand, they do look comfortable. I probably wouldn't try any.
@Meme- Yes, they can tend to look granny-ish, but some of them are cute and probably really comfy!
Yes, they can still be sexy. Sex appeal is all about confidence. Its not always about what you wear, but its more about how you rock it.
Two things that don't go together, stretchy and shoes! However, I've been seeing a lot of shoes with the stretch material. I simply can't do it.
@K-Bear - Perhaps try gel insoles or opt for a half-size down from your regular non-peep-toe shoes. Good luck!
You're making me wish I wore heals, but that won't happen in this lifetime. But I can appreciate women feet in some real nice shoes though.
I'm in love with the last pair... if only I could cut off about 3 inches from the heel.
