Silky Smooth Skin!

During the winter months, our skin gets extra dry, which is always annoying. There’s nothing worse than having rough and scaly hands, especially if you’re going on an interview or on a hot date. Not to mention it's flu season, which requires us to wash our hands even more in an attempt to ward off pesky germs, leaves our hands super dry.

That’s why we BGs should always keep a travel size hand lotion in our purses. With so many different brands on the market, it’s hard to tell which creams work the best. Being the product junkie that I am, I’ve probably tried and applied them all for you! From the fresia scented dollar store brands to shea butters at L’Occitane, I’ve slathered and lathered them all!

Remember all hand lotions are not created equal! Here are a few of my picks:

Vaseline Intensive Care Hand Lotion $3.99 www.drugstores.com

Jaqua Pink Buttercream Hand Lotion $8 www.bathandbodyworks.com

Carol's Daughter Lemon Rose Hand Cream $10 www.carolsdaughter.com

Kiehl's Hand Lotion $22.50 www.kiehls.com

L'Occitane Hand Cream $10 www.loccitane.com

Bliss Body Butter Hand Cream $18 www.sephora.com

Curel Hand Lotion $4.79 www.drugstore.com

Great pics, BGG! Vaseline is a staple in most vintage BG homes, however, I fell in love with Curel after using it during a visit to Chicago. I don't know why it's so hard for me to try something new. Once I get hooked on a product, I stick with it. Too bad I'm not the same with the men in my life. hahahaha Next!

Hi Brown Girl Gumbo,

First; YIKES! Kiehl's is sooo expensive. I love their body wash but at $25 dollars it's just for days when I need to feel extra special.

I will admit I am tempted to try their hand lotion. There is a store that sells Kiels not far from me, I feel a shopping trip coming on. Lol

I normally use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream. It's great.

I also use Vasaline, it's pretty good too.

@Mes Deux Cents...it's so funny u mentioned Neutrogena Norwegian hand cream. I was going to add it to the list, but figured I had enough on there.

Yes, Kiehl's is expensive, but it is good. I guess for those times when you want to feel extra special. :-)

Hey!

Carol's Daughter's hand cream is good. My only problem is that I wish it was in a tube--it would be more travel-friendly--something I can just slip in my purse.

@KBL...I have tried other Carol's Daughter products and they are great. I've never tried any hair products though.

Good picks. I have extremely dry hands and I swear by L'Occitane.

I should add that, I had no idea it was available in a $10 tube. Must look into this, more incentive to buy! I always get suckered into buying the multi-pack that comes with the "other product" that i have no use for! Thanks for the heads up.
