The Best Luxurious Lotion for Less!

There are some products that deserve a post all to themselves and today that product is Aveeno's Daily Moisturizing Lotion! I was first introduced to this "luxurious lotion for less," a few months ago by my mom. Let me say that my family has the driest skin on earth. Ok, maybe our skin isn't the DRIEST on earth, but it's pretty bad.

So, when I saw how Aveeno transformed my mother's dry and cracked alligator-looking legs into silky smooth gams, I was sold! When I tried it, I had the same flattering results. The best thing about this particular lotion is that it lasts all day. So many other brands leave you ashy again after about an hour or so. I have yet to find another drugstore brand moisturizing lotion that has come close to this product.

Have you ever tried Aveeno? What is your favorite brand of lotion?

Available at www.drugstore.com for $6.79 (8 oz.)

Aveeno is one of my favorite brands. For the most part, I only purchase organic and/or all natural products from the health food store. If I can't make it there, Aveeno is definitely next in line. So far, I like all of their products equally (well maybe I like their oatmeal line best).

I like aveeno but for dry skin my favorite (at the moment) is Aveda relief cream for dry skin, really really moisturizing. Aveeno on the other hand has some really good products as well.
thanks for the post.

Shea butter has always worked for me. However, I will try the Aveeno since you gave it your seal of approval!

BGG, I'm using Curel right now and I do like it but I'm gonna have to give this one a try since you haven't let me down yet. I did try their oatmeal bath once on my son once when he was having some dry skin issues and he commented that he felt so much better after the oatmeal bath. It's definitely time to give the lotion a try! Thanks for another great tip!

I've never tried Aveeno's body products but I loooove their face and eye serums. Super moisurizing without being too greasy. I love it!

Going to leave work running to pick some up this afternoon! Haven't tried it yet, but with that recommendation I will. I have very dry skin and so far all I've found that works are oils - olive, apricot, etc. Looking forward to trying this out.

lol... You are too funny- does your mom know you're broadcasting her ashiness on the web?! lol.. I don't usually have a problem w/ ashiness, especially during the summer. I use Victoria's Secret lotion, usually just on my legs and feet.

I've never tried Aveeno. I use Eucerin, I started using it after my sister said her doctor told her to use it for her excema, is that how it's spelled eczema. I think it works wonders and I highly recommend it!

At the moment Aveeno is one of my favorite lotions.
I like the fact that it makes me feel soft but not too greasy.

I've never tried Aveeno, but your review is making me consider. My favorite brands are Jergens (Original Almond Cherry Cent & it Gold Shimmer Lotion) and Suave (Cocoa Butter).

I have tried Aveeno and I like it a lot. Like you my family has extremely dry skin, so we've been using Aveeno for years. I run through it so fast though, that I opt for baby oil gel instead.

@Afia - I usually don't buy natural or organic products, but maybe I should since they're better for me.

@PJD - Hmm...Aveda...I always think of them for haircare products for some reason.

@Tawanna - Sometimes I don't like the smell of shea butter. LOL!

@Nerd Girl - You will NOT be disappointed! :-)

@Kwana - Definitely give it a shot!

@xoxoJaimie - Thanks for adding me to your blogroll, I'll do the same.

@Antithesis - I used to like St. Ives too. When you do spend a few extra bucks on Aveeno, you'll be satisfied! :-)

@Makeupbyrenren - When your other lotions run out, definitely go back to Target and get this one! lol

@B - I've never tried their other products. Will give them a try.

@AshleyNicole - I love Suave's body wash!

@Wes - She doesn't read my blog, but she wouldn't mind because it's the truth! :-)

@BrownSugar - I've gotta try Curel

@T- I love baby oil too, but sometimes it's just too greasy! LOL

I've tried Aveeno and didn't love it. I'm a Palmer's Cocoa Butter girl all day. I'll also dabble in Vaseline products and Johnson amd Johnson.
