i noticed this trend when i was in new york a few weeks ago...too bad i suffer from "hot neck" syndrome, lol...i'd going to have to wait till it gets a little cooler for this trend

BGG, I'm on the fence with this scarf thing. I guess because it's just so super hot here in Texas. I do like the look though so I bought a blouse that looks like a giant scarf and it's beautiful. It's very light weight and hangs slighty off the shoulder. It was only $20 bucks at Love Culture. I wish I had gotten a couple more. As for my favorite accessory this summer, I guess it would be the colorful bangles you introduced us too!

i have the one by freepeople...but i seemed to have developed a thing for zebra. i just picked up about 4 zebra-print things today so i might need to get with the cavalli scarf.

I love scarves they're a lifesaver in the summer when the change of temperature goes from hot to cold. For that reason I love simple patterns. I love Free People full fringe and Tolanzin Zig Zag.

BGG, for me less is better in the summer time so I don't go for the scarfs. My absolute favorite accessory this summer would have to be the beautiful purses we have to choose from...the clutch, the duffle or somewhere in between. It just makes me happy to switch up!

Scarves are one of my weaknesses. You can wear different styles of them year round! But this summer I've been wearing a lot of headbands. I just bought a bunch from Target.

So I just had to go back and look at the Coach scarf everyone was raving about...pretty cool, but not a must have for me. I don't know maybe I'm just not a scarf person. I think I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to pull it off. I think it would make me look too polished and like I'm trying too hard. I'd much rather the look look effortless. Nothing worse than people being able to tell you spent weeks/days/hours putting together the perfect outfit, necklace, sunglasses and all and it showing!

What do you think?

Greetings,

I'm here by way of rawdawg. I don't wear scarves in the summer simply because I might pass out down her in Baton Rouge, La. But perhaps I can take your advice into consideration when it gets a tad bit cooler. I like your spot!

@Everyone - Wow, I didn't know that the Coach one was that popular!

@Meme - I do know what you're talking about when "trying too hard." LOL!
