Luxe Leathers

Now that fall is officially here and the cool breezes are a mainstay, it’s time to break out a cute leather jacket! Leather jackets instantly add a bit of rock and roll chic whether worn with jeans or over an ultra-feminine frock.

This cool weather wardrobe staple might be pricey (especially during these financially difficult days), but one of good quality will last you a lifetime. So, let out your inner bad girl Rihanna style with a luxe leather. Oh and for those Peta-friendly readers, I threw in a couple faux ones too!

I've had lethas since 4th grade. I don't have one now, but man, i had so many growing up i could probably open my leather shop.

I'm like DE. I had a TON of leather jackets growing up but now I only have like....2. I LOVE them. Which is crazy considering I grew up in North Florida and we really didn't need them. That red one is HOT!

i come across alot of cute leather jackets. i'm rarely interested in that investment because they rarely keep you very warm. its fine for fall but i feel in dc that crisp fall weather doesnt last too long and im just freezing. im going to take a page out of instantvintage's book and check out a thrift store.

BGG, being a Chicago native like yourself, I own several leather jackets in different styles. I absolutely love them all. No matter what I'm wearing, if I top it off with a nice leather jacket, I just feel like a bad mamma jamma! Okay, I know that's totally old school but it's real. And don't let me have on a bad pair of boots too...and a sharp purse. Don't even try to talk to me on those days, I won't hear you...my head is too high in the sky! Hey, I love that jacket from Newport News...of all places!!

I do have a leather. It's a blazer with pockets from Oldnavy.com (You'd be surprised what they have online that they don't have in the store). I bought it ages ago and it's still one of my faves.

There are about two weeks in the Chi that you can wear a light jacket before it's time to bust out the parkas. LOL!

Fab post!

i do have a great leather jacket that i got years ago and still get compliments on when i where it - it seems to only get better with age. it's kind of similar to the last one in your post - with the fabricy detailing around the bottom, but it also has the same thing aroud the wrists and a huge cowl neck-ish collar in the same material...which you can 'pop the collar' and it just looks so darn fierce if i say so myself. like this but with an even bigger neck part http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/e2/d/AAAAAvROXxAAAAAAAOLe_g.jpg

I was just thinking about how I wanted a leather jacket. You totally read my mind! ;)

I really like the Grey Silence & Noise Motocylce Jacket. I'll be getting mind a second-hand or thrift store though. A while ago, a friend found a great used leather jacket from a shop.

One thing about your blog BGG and me being a man - no matter what you post about, I can always rest assured that I can stop by and see some pretty pics. Beyonce is flawless, even when not trying.

Why is it that I'm always in love with the most expensive item?

In my mind I look cool in a sleek Leather but actually I wear it underneath my real winter coat. lol Chicago winter doesn't play that. In chicago we only have 2 season's warm and freezing.

I have a little leather blazer that I picked up for a song 2 seasons ago. It's classic and perfect for right now. Great post!

Hey BGG, another great selection. I've been thinking about buying a coat for the cold weather. That Mossimo Faux Leather Blazer from Target (or Targe') looks great.
